Maybe, Jack reckoned, searching inside would give him an idea. Using his Magic Key Maker, Jack unlocked the door and stepped inside.

The hut was one large room. In front of him were three beds, and to his right was a small kitchen. To his left was a lounge area with a simple communication system. In the center of the room was an aluminum table. The table had a sheet of paper on top. Jack walked over and studied it carefully.

But this wasn’t just any piece of paper. It was a map. Colored lines were drawn from an X in the middle outward. Jack figured the X was the location of the warming hut. The lines marked the routes the scientists had traveled. At the end of each line was a dot, and next to each dot was a handwritten date.

If Jack could find a dot with yesterday’s date, he could trace the path the scientists had taken. Spying a blue dot with the right date, Jack made a note of the coordinates. He rushed out of the hut, jumped on his Sno-Speed and programmed the details of his next destination.
